Course description

This online self-directed course will introduce you to the 3D printing workflow, the process of taking an initial concept or idea, through to the final fabrication of a physical product. Our training material will guide you through the entire 3D printing process, including when (and why) to use 3D printing and an introduction to ‘Design for 3D printing’. Upon completion, you will know how to produce your first 3D printed part, have a greater understanding of how objects are made and how designs can be improved using additive manufacturing techniques allowing you to create your own 3D printed parts by designing them yourself in a CAD package or by making use of one of the many libraries of digital models available online.
