Course description

Throughout the course you will develop an understanding and knowledge of the husbandry, housing care and welfare needs of animals, and gain the skills required to undertake a supervisory level job related to the animal care industry. Moreover, this course will provide you with the confidence and ability to be able to work with others in the industry and provide the highest standards of care and welfare for the animals that they may be responsible for. Upon successful completion of this course, students can apply to join year 2 of the HND Animal Care course.

Entry requirements

Scottish Higher, standard entry requirements: C,C

To include two from English, Maths a science subject. Minimum of 1 week of work experience in the industry.

National 4/National 5, standard entry requirements:

Scottish National Certificate, standard entry requirements: Pass
